If we can't qualify out of that lot, we should shut down the whole system and give back the full membership to the ICCsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:52 amFor the T20WC, now Confirmed that we are in Qualifier B, hosted in Zimbabwe, approx July 8th-18th 2022.
We have been drawn with Netherlands, PNG, USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, Uganda and Jersey in this group. Top 2 qualify.
Future tour rumours

Re: Future tour rumours
Fairly easy group ..we should not just qualify but win all the games ..as Bertus de Jong on Twitter says since this is in the middle of county season Dutch might play an understrength team .the other group looks trickier for the Irish boys though ..oman uae Nepal Canada ..plenty of banana skin

Re: Future tour rumours
Yeah agreed.
We've avoided all of the three weakest teams (Bahrain, Filippines, Germany) who have somehow all ended up in the same group, but nonetheless I think our group is probably easier at the top end. Like you say the Dutch will be missing a bunch of players so that helps. In theory we should be able to beat all of the others at home.

Yes, Group B is easier.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:52 amFor the T20WC, now Confirmed that we are in Qualifier B, hosted in Zimbabwe, approx July 8th-18th 2022.

Will USA have the likes of Corey Anderson, Unmukt Chand, Sami Aslam and Umer Akmal eligible to play for them?

Depends when exactly they moved to the USA. If they are qualifying on residency grounds then the qualification period is 3 years, so they would have needed to be ordinarily resident in the US since July 2019.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:13 pmYes, Group B is easier.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:52 amFor the T20WC, now Confirmed that we are in Qualifier B, hosted in Zimbabwe, approx July 8th-18th 2022.

Nope certainly not 2019, I think Unmukt and Aslam moved sometime in 2020, Akmal this year only, not sure about Corey, don't think he will be eligible so soon either.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:41 pmDepends when exactly they moved to the USA. Chand, Aslam & Anderson might not be eligible but they will certainly get the services of few good domestic ex West Indies players in the qualifierssam_ahm wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 5:18 amNope certainly not 2019, I think Unmukt and Aslam moved sometime in 2020, Akmal this year only, not sure about Corey, don't think he will be eligible so soon either.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:41 pmDepends when exactly they moved to the USA. Re: Future tour rumours
Surely someone knows when we are playing again?
Re: Future tour rumours
Seriously frustrating that Zimbabwe struggle to get good game time. I understand they played fairly good amount this year at least but still not as much as it should be.
I reckon as per FTP they've got Srilanka tour starting Jan 16th. Whether it goes ahead or not is a different story altogether.
Re: Future tour rumours
Afghanistan cricket board on their twitter confirming 3 match ODI series against Netherlands starting Jan 21st and in the same article mentioning 'this will be followed by an away series against Zim in Jan/Feb'
Zimbabwe have got SLN in Jan/Feb, so it has to be after that series.
