Its back to being topsy turvy again due to omicron. PAK-WI tour postponed (means likely cancellation), BD tour of NZ almost got cancelled yesterday due to positive case with Rangana Herath and omicron discovered on a passenger on the team flight.

Omicron spreads so quickly that we might have to go with a 25 man squad on 2 different flights for it to happen. This thing is more contagious than the common cold. Almost 2/3 of people I know have either tested positive or had a "strong flu" this December. I have serious doubts about any sporting event happening in the next couple of months without a hiccup.
Re: Future tour rumours
Most of the cases of omicron in India are getting detected because of mandatory testing at airports, otherwise they are asymptomatic. I'm hearing this is the case in most countries, some are testing positive because they go to hospital for some other problem and end up getting tested for covid as well. 80% are Asymptomatic and remaining 20% are having mild symptoms.
Genuinely feel the world is overreacting here.

It is very mild. I agree there. People who I know who have it recover within a 3 or 4 days. I think the logic is let's say delta kills 2 people out of 100 and puts 10 in hospital but it only infects 100k people, then that's 2000 deaths and 10k hospitalisations. Omicron on the other hand maybe kills 1 person per 200 people and puts 5 people per 100 in hospital but it will infect 1 million people. That's 5000 deaths and 50k people in hospital. So even if it's mild, the way it spreads will still kill more people and overwhelm hospitals.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 8:21 amMost of the cases of omicron in India are getting detected because of mandatory testing at airports, otherwise they are asymptomatic. Well stated. It may be milder (key word may: CDC/WHO said its looking the same severity as delta) but it may end up infecting and killing way more people.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 8:55 am

Omicron kills 2 in perhaps 5 million people, and one of them will coincidentally happen to be hit by a train.

Here's a thought for those muppets that are going to live in terror. Wear 2 masks, one for you and one for us. The virus will still have to pass through 2 bits of toilet paper, what difference does it make whose face it's on?
I've had it twice and I know a multitude of people that have now had it. I've had worse hangovers than my second bout. I know 2 friends who died from it, and a third who died from a blood clot induced by the vaccination. You don't fuck people's lives up for years on end because of that.
The WHO are about as plausible as Fauci. Money grubbing scam artists and the top dogs need jail time. WHO landcruisers are a dime a dozen in Africa, they do diddly squat.

Question for the googly. Do you also think people should be allowed to drive while intoxicated or under the influence? How about teaching children to shoot bullets into karge crowds to see how often a projectile can pass through one without actually hitting anybody? Is it really fair to curtail that freedom from kids?

The more I think about it. This seems like the work of a Ras al Ghul mechanism. Its almost as if the League of Shadows has seen enough of humanity's inequities and is now just fucking with us because it can.

Funny that train accidents increased 100x in frequency from 2020 onwards, no?
