The real problem is that there are always players, coaches, technical staff and others prepared to break ranks. The existing guys all need to get together and sign a petition that they present to the ICC that they give ZC a vote of no confidence. They need to propose a board and a new constitution that works. Right there is a problem, the black folk would be fearing a return of the Rhodesians, Zanu supporters would be fearing an end of cronyism and nepotism that has kept half of them employed when in fact there should be a restraining order keeping them more than 5km from anything resembling a cricket pitch, and it would be highly unlikely that there would be any consensus.

This divide and rule tactic is what has prevented our entire country moving forward, never mind the cricket.
If I think about us creating a tunnel of shame where these guys get marched out and we can all give them a paralysing kick up the arse as they go I get all misty eyed.

Money will stop a united action. Think about how the players union collapsed. The board is good at infiltrating. A lot of these guys really need this. Think about the Afghanistan t20 bomb scare. Most of them stayed because they needed that money. If thats the case then who would dare risk action? Especially if you are not an established player. The guys we really need are Taylor Cremer and Raza.

Taylor will probably be made captain and he is on a long term contract for which they paid a lot of it upfront. He cant go anywhere. Same as jarvis. If you are craig ervine for example going on strike when you basically cost us that game will be a real betrayal to the fans. He cant do that with a clean conscience. They already showed williams that he can be dropped a few months ago. Do you risk your career by going on strike? None of the other players will go on strike because honestly all of them are replacable in that team. Imagine PJ or waller or Hami going on strike? That will be the end of their careers.

At the end of the day this is a full time job for these guys. They have families. Other jobs in the country pay peanuts. The economy is ruined. A lot of them didnt take the Hami or Murray route and further their education. All they have is high school education. You cant risk your livelihood for heath streak who has a thriving business and an ipl gig. He will be fine.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry at the Facebook post. Tells us (a few days late) what we already know. It's sheer length smacks of self-justification and guilt. Just make the decision and inform the public, we don't need a thesis to justify it. Nobody else does like this, only Zim. I despair, I truly do.

Just when I thought they were starting to get things right with the appointments of Streak, Taibu, Rising Stars project...

No Logan Cup or Pro 50.
Club cricket disappearing.
Delayed payments to players, or no payments at all.
Disillusioned players at all levels.
Complete lack of faith in the board.
Complete lack of cricketing knowledge among virtually the entire admin team and board.
Complete lack of commercial activity, or attempt to grow the commercial viability of ZC (just totally reliant on ICC and others' handouts).
Absolutely no plan or strategy in place moving forward.
Swollen admin team all keep their jobs despite all of the above.

Well Mangongo was very foolish to promise a top 4 finish at the world cup. What on earth was he smoking? that makes sense.i didnt understand why they were coming after him but the writing was on the wall when we were losing to domestic junior sides in India. How did he expect to beat the national team? They spent a fortune on these guys as they should. Dont know why they are complaining about doing their job. Its not their personal money.

The A team has also been performing really poorly under Hondo. He deserves to be sacked.

As for Taibu i hold him the most responsible for this. He did his part by bringing back Taylor Mire and Jarvis but months ago i saw that his selection methods would come back to haunt him. He failed to be diplomatic. Sending Murray and Mavuta to Bangladesh was ridiculous. Never seen such a shocking decision 2 months before a crucial tournament. No sense in that at all. Murray went back to university. That was an insult to guys like Mutombodzi who slave away for peanuts.

Sending Burl to the UAE when he was struggling against the same Kenyan team Zhuwao was blasting away. Another very questionable decision. When that didnt work out they bring in Tari and make him open in one of the games. Another insult to Zhuwao and co.

Here is the thing for me. Zhuwao is not Chris Gayle. He never will be world class. All Streak and Taibu had to do was take him to the UAE and he struggles against the spin duo of Mujeeb and Rashid Khan. Then they would have just simply gone to the board and said he isnt good enough and gotten their wish. The big insult came from them not even giving somebody a chance yet Waller fails every game and you still pick him. They even flew Tari in to open in the UAE. They literally tried every option they had but him. What does that tell you?

Streak had his favourites we cant deny that. Panyangara/Mpofu is another one although that doesnt really matter now as they are both out of the picture. Taibu also has the same problem with the rising stars. How can Luke Jongwe be in the UK and not be part of the rising stars. Are you telling me Jha or Akram are better than a man who once got 5 wickets for 6 runs against our new nemesis Afghanistan? Jongwe and Chisoro were dropped for discplinary issues and Chisoro had to fight so hard to get back in the picture. This guy averages 25 with the bowl at an economy of 4.2. He can clearly bat. He should have always been in the squad. Then Taibu went on twitter to say Jongwe has a drinking problem .

Re Zhuwao, you're right, he isn't Chris Gayle and you're right, he will never be world class. Maybe that's precisely the reason why he wasn't selected for any series prior to the WC qualifiers, when he was an enforced pick...

That resignation thing is to stop claims for terminal benefits, so they tell you to resign and they make a side deal with the people that they’re going to re-employ. So if you refuse to resign they guarantee they won’t re-employ you, but if you do then your name is back in the hat. The fact is there aren’t many people around so at least half, if not more will be reshuffled.
These people are such c*^ts.
If people don’t stand firm this will continue. It’s as if they went on holiday and came back to a disaster? Again it’s just a distraction from their hopeless ineptitude. Stand firm lads, let’s get rid of these disgusting people that have destroyed our cricket.

Wouldnt be surprised if Mangongo Hondo and Prosper are rehired. Thats probably the plan. It could also be cost cutting. Dont be surprised to see that some of those roles will not be filled again.

I wonder how many board members actually benefit financially and how much do they earn. The ICC have a guy in the system as MD and still this happened. In fact he was the guy who sent the email. Thats very strange. Starting to think maybe the ICC might be corrupt too.
