Well that was a nice session. Positive batting from Williams and Raza, hopefully they kick on. Ideally, these two stay on till Stumps today. It's kinda reassuring that we have Mutombodzi as a batsman.

Williams has got that little jump to leg against anything back of a length, it’s not a good look.
Never looks comfortable against good pace

That's been the issue, they keep losing wickets after a good spell, Kasuza and BT had things looking really good then they both fell quickly, just like BT & Williams in the 2nd innings in the 1st Test.

Both these guys are experienced enough and good enough to both score tons here which will really put Zimbabwe in a strong position, remembering despite what Zimlover reckons, the bowling attach is much weaker without Jarvis.

Has Zimbabwe got any concept of decent music..!? Like what is that shit they keep playing between overs? Is it Frank Mawoza’s playlist?

The last time I was there they were playing a lot of random music,

I struggle to understand the local music, unless if they sing in English

Williams has some chest infections,Bronchitis and decided to take a strong strand of Antibiotics just before.

He needs to get some hydration into him

They should’ve let him bat lower and take his antibiotics

I'm glad they have taken Embuldeniya to the cleaners, he got wickets undeservedly in the last game IMO. He looks bang average to me.

With that said, I think Williams and Raza need to just calm down a bit here. It's like they are batting for a declaration tonight. They don't need to throw the bat at everything, there's been a lot of false shots in the last 20 minutes that have landed just short of a fielder and it's only a matter of time until they throw it away.

Williams looks really crook... this could be a defining innings for him though. If he struggles through to make 150+ that is a true captains knock, if he gets to the personal milestone of three figures and then throws it away - still a good innings - but it would be disappointing that he couldn't crack on.

Is Dirk ever satisfied with anything in this world? This morning he started heckling our openers from the second over; and now that I've again tuned in he's bemoaning the fact that the Sri Lankans are not playing defensively enough.
