Matsi was a good player. I just carried away with your prediction of Zimbabwean loss at this golden hour. Nothing else

Geez, what the hell happened then! You can tell these teams haven't played Test cricket for a while
Lucky let off, very lucky.

First runs off the bat, Vusi.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

Totally agree, from all angles:foreignfield wrote:No Meth, so Price at 8 - that's plain stupid.
We may need the runs, Price is not going to get them for us, Jarvis wont give us the extra 20/30 Meth could have given. From a bowling viewpoint Jarvis doesnt offer the same economy and control Meth has...not sure I understand the logic...only straw I can clutch at is Jarvis has pace (albeit uncontrolled)...lets see what works but I think we have errered...
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu

Very happy to see Vitori playing. I've mentioned this before, but his progression to Test cricket has been like a fairy tale... I'm so glad for him that he's been selected for this Test match.
Good shot Mawoyo!

Really dont like Price coming in at 8 but then again it will hopefully put more pressure on the top 7 to perform. I think we will rue the non Meth selction as he will give the side control over the run rate.Jemisi wrote:We have a very long tail. Well, let's hope Jarvis is worth it in impact over Meth's control.
Pitch looks like it is nipping around a bit, couple of loverly shots by Mawayo after his moment of madness with the running

Yep, a lot are really deviating off the seam. It's really important that the openers stick around and see off this early morning period.
