Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Kowloon in Hong Kong.
Dan Stannard... that name rings a bell. I believe he was a part of Mugabe's government at some stage, perhaps in an intelligence or security role? I may be thinking about the wrong person, but I think he saved Mugabe's life from a landmine or a bomb on the road, he was driving the car Mugabe was in and averted the disaster.

Interesting story. Averted the disaster? I have my doubts about that.brmtaylor.com admin wrote:Dan Stannard... that name rings a bell. Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
seems Dougie Marillier to me but dont know why he was in news recently. He was almost hailed as a legend though after his heroics at faridabad & perth.

My word, the face looks so familiar, but I can't remember who that is. There is a slight similarity to Trevor Penney though...

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
It suddenly dawned upon me while traveling to work that it must be none other than Alan Charles Ingram "Charlie" Lock. A quick search also confirmed it
.
He was in the news for the sad reasons, he was evicted of his farm as part of the land reforms of President Mugabe in Oct 2007. According to this story He wanted to fight for it. Did he succeed? What is the latest on this?

Yes, that's right. It is Charlie Lock and he was evicted off his farm. I don't know what the outcome was though.

Another former cricketer here. Identify him. If it gets very difficult, I will give out a clue later

From where have you managed Gary's latest pic? I was suspecting it but was not sure as i have never seen him playing. But we all indians know the all-rounder who was a very late replacement to Ali Shah in the inaugral test and indeed had a great ODI debut with 50 and 4-fer at HSC.
