PNG and Jersey won't make it, so it is basically two places amongst 4 teams - USA, Namibia, UAE and Canada.
Eating your words?
Yeah they eventually lost but surely they could have won, I think this tournament is very open. I'm just following the scores every now and then but the games do look very closely contested.

Very tough calling this.

Huge win for the USA over UAE and this puts them as one of the favorites to make it to the WCQ, however, Canada are still unbeaten after 2 games and may be a surprise entry in the Qualifiers should they continue this form.

Namibia have stormed back into contention as well with back to back wins.

Has been a pretty exciting tournament this.

Must win two games for southafrica . They have held back players from the IPL for these games and have gone absolute full strength . While Netherlands have lost as many as 6 players to county/injury . Should be very easy two games for southafrica

In the WCQ Play-off, the USA are sitting at #2 in a 4-way tie for first place, just behind Namibia on run rate. However, the US has remaining games vs the two weakest sides in the draw, whereas one out of Namiba (1st) and UAE (3rd) has to lost when the square off, meaning the US is almost guaranteed a top 2 finish and consequently promotion to the actual Qualifer in June. Obviously still an open tourney, but the US is in the strongest position for promotion at this point.

Just watched a bit of this this morning….PNG in a dire situation and HAVE to win today to retain their ODI status for the next 4 years as I understand.

……and they’ve just dropped 4 catches in 10 balls. Could have had the USA 60-7.

Fuck me they’ve dropped another two. I don’t think I’ve ever seen worse fielding at what is apparently ‘professional’ level

Massive win for the UAE and an equally critical loss for Namibia. USA and UAE appear to be set to qualify for the WCQs.

Namibia will be gutted, at one stage last year they looked like favourites to even finish 2nd or least 3rd in the Super League 2 table and avoid this Play offs altogether and now they are almost certain to miss out from the Qualifiers. That's sad for Namibia, they will retain their ODI status though.

Canada may not make it to the Qualifiers but will surely regain their ODI status from PNG.

... And looks like South Africa are all but through to the World Cup... WI now officially into the WCQs.
