[Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Afghanistan, 4th ODI
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Afghanistan, 4th ODI
The problem is we think we need to go big because we behind the run rate. We do not need to. Just rotate the strike for now and punish the bad ball. Even if you pick up a run a ball, thats 6 an over, that is more than the required rate.

If there's any plus side, there's never been a better time for Waller or Chigumbura to score an ODI century. They don't even need to score that quickly, just get their eye in and take ones and twos with the odd boundary.
And for Maruma, no better opportunity to show he's a long term batting prospect. And for Mutumbami, he could get a big score on debut.
Still plenty of opportunities for the batsmen, providing they stem the loss of wickets.

Oh this is ridiculous. 5/29 against Afghanistan, what a joke.

We are frenetically paddling up shit creek.
This loks like a Southernn Rocks match. Familiar circumastances for Mutumbami???

Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

No. I mean this can't be true. Right? May be the scorer has gone bonkers to the news of Chingoka's resignation and typing incorrect things?

That bit of commentary sums up about 85% of Zimbabwean batsmen over the last 7 years. The batsman already come in and looks like they have been beaten already
