Tiripano getting a good score here is probably the worst thing that can happen.

Jongwe would be a much improved and younger like-for-like selection in the future.
hes done okay tbh, where we lost this game was the horrible middle order. THe game could never be won with the pitch

Guys is it better to give chances to Madhevere to play test than giving chances to someone like Maruma and Kai? H

Victor has faced more balls than 4 MarumaKaia innings put together.
Just tuning in, saw the scorecard, fuckin hell. It's literally 9 vs 11 dragging Maruma and Kaia around. Kaia at least did something against Pakistan, Maruma deadass done nothing useful for us. Was there literally nobody else available to play in place of Ervine and Williams? Honestly think some of the forum members here would score a run, more than Maruma. Wesley was available wasn't he?

Wes or Marumani would have been worth a go.

Ah well a bit of an effort from Victor. Hopefully the last two can hang on for the Don to get to 50

I think it was lost earlier than that. The Bangladesh tail wagged and our bowling was utterly toothless. Shumba & Kaia are poor spinners (I really think Shumba should give it up and just concentrate on batting. We don't need 8 average all rounders in the team all doing bits and pieces) and despite the eventual wickets Tiripano was toothless and really poor - again. He isn't a Test-quality bowler anymore.

We could pick him and try him as a dedicated batter but he'd have to be in the top six, and at full fitness when everyone is available he doesn't get in there tbh. I'd much rather invest in Jongwe at 7/8.

Definitely not Marumani in this format. Nowhere near ready or good enough in red ball. Very excited to see him again next week in the limited overs though.

being a bit harsh on shumba, he was pretty economical in the first innings and had a couple dropped off him

500 test runs for Tiripano. Only the 29th Zimbo to reach there.
