Chigumbura has got his chances. Not Meth. He is a much improved cricketer in 2011 and has not got his fair chance since then. If he does with both ball and ball like the chances given to Chibhabha, Chakabva and does not perform then I will rest my case.

Chakabva and Meth have played 10 ODIs each and Meth's batting ave is 7 less than Chakabva @13.7. Chibhabha is not in my radar...(ie. would seldom if ever make my team sheet)

maybe you meant Chigumbura... but he played in the dark days when there was little alternative so i don't think Meth could have as many unanswered failures

Meth is a different player in 2011 than he was when he first came onto the scene some years back. He has not had a straight run of opportunities recently

apart from the 'core' players sscricket refers to, no-one has - but some of those with 'limited' opportunities have grabbed them

Sure they have. But I'm not talking about the Wallers of the team, the Meth issue is about whether we should write a player off, and we haven't seen enough of him to do that.

Without Meth, Zim will be soft target for any team except Bangladesh.
It will be Deja Vu from the T20's and first one dayer against New Zealand. They might show occasional resistance but apart from that there will be no brillance.
