We’ve actually got (for the first time since Taylor?) two young kids here who could be a big big part of our middle order in the coming years. This is huge! We might actually be able to say goodbye to the tried and tested donkeys
Add Myers also he should also get chance to feature in domestic games to prove himself
Agreed! If Myers is willing to stay and give an international career with Zimbabwe a fair crack, especially with the FTP kicking in, we've got three little golden nuggets. Throw in young Munonga, Burl, Tari and Murray (if he returns) and perhaps Moor, we have depth all of a sudden and competition for places.

Is this Shumbas debut ? Huge. Amazing effort!

The Googly in me though wonders if this has a lot to do with th bowling quality. But, even so, it’s good to see he hasn’t got the ‘zimbo century’ mentality at 50 like 99 percent of them.

It’s a refreshing mindset, not plagued by the failure mentality of the older guys. What’s needed!

It’s the young guys who are stepping up here. And Nyathi and Prince, whom I presume due to their age did some soul searching and realised they needed to score big this season to have any chance of a international career. Worked for Prince, but Nyathi is too tainted, he will need to get 150s to be noticed

There is still very little fanfare about shumba 120 not out on Twitter for example. We should be shouting this from the rooftops!! Get this guy in the team he is a gun!!
Anybody saying it was the rangers well why didn't seasoned players like N Mpofu and Brian chari score a century then???

John,

Do you know why Shumba didn't get a bowl or was batting so low?

Thanks!
Don't know, I'm afraid. But he got his ton today, so should be promoted now!

Shumba didn't make a good start, very slow and looked overawed. But he hung in there very well and it steadily came right for him.

Was that knock from Oldknow in the first innings??
Obviously he was trying to take time out of the game and then they were hoping someone would repeat that in the second innings and they’d hang in for a draw. What was the outcome?
Regardless it was a pretty good effort, you won’t see that too often, especially if it was in the first innings.
These FC selections all come from Head Office, there’s no autonomy whatsoever and it’s basically a sham, a centrally run communist dictatorship. Did I mention that we’re $4 million dollars worse off because of these thieves, yet we’re playing more cricket than ever before  on half the amount. If that’s not a red flag then what is?
Oil change and service for mowers and rollers- $124
New equip from M&M Cricket Equip Supplies- S253 624-99
They should spend a few hundred bucks on governors to keep tractor and mower speeds below 80kph and the stuff will last longer than 2 years.

I see Zakoni is excitedly calling for 4 u19’s to be part of the national side after Wes’s early good form. It’s like having a drunk and angry Kombi driver at the wheel. We’ve crashed many times and yet no one seems to realize. That’s the sad part, it’s happened so many times people just roll with the punches and accept the unacceptable.
