Well the boys definitely exceeded my expectations. Great match. Watched most of our batting innings and it was good to see other people perform without Craig and Sean. Half our senior squad is playing so I guess they did show they have some quality.

I guess this is why a lot of senior players back Don. Also I think they should swap Milton and Wes for the next game

It does not even look that dark tbh, yeah with just one over to go that was a weird call, we should have won on merit it feels… weird
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.

Not sure what happened really. Calling light with 7 balls to go is pretty harsh. Understandable if SA are very aggrieved by this.

But also it is 5.40pm and the beginning of winter - it can get gloomy. Hard to tell from a youtube stream of course but maybe it really was dark. I don't think the umps would have taken them off at that stage unless the light reading really was particularly low.

We were gonna win anyway. Good all round team performance with lots of contributors. Good stuff!

We are going to have a lot of these issues this winter. Games need to start at 9am sharp for ODIs. 2pm the latest start for a T20.

Those 9am starts might heavily favour whoever is bowling first.

I wouldn't want to be facing Coetzee or Williams in that light to be fair. It was damned gloomy. I wonder what the over rate was like?

But I'm exceedingly pleasantly surprised. We were very competitive. Those first ten overs are where we struggle a bit.

Great performance by the lads, Madhevere looked like a quality player as long as he lasted at the crease, Masvaure though slow in scoring also played a vital part, Raza and Shumba played exceptionally well. ZIM Win by 5 runs by D/L method.

For anyone who missed it, Sipamla didn't travel with SA in the end and Dupavillon and Subrayan both have minor injuries. Stuurmaan has been drafted into their squad.

Very good win for Zimbabwe. To beat this strong South Africa A side a good achievement and heartening to see this win without most of the senior players.

Milton Shumba is a gem of a player, he is Zimbabwe's official finisher now. 👍

Given the amount of first class and 50 over games Zimbabwe play domestically, their batters like to take their time to get settled and build an innings, naturally they are better in ODIs and Tests... The rankings might suggest otherwise but i strongly believe Zimbabwe are better in longer formats than the T20s.

Zimbabwe don't have the kind of dashers to play the T20 format, and it remains Zimbabwe's weakest format.

No man. U can't call light with one over to go. Not seen that before. Who complained? I'm assuming the Zim side? Someone has to complain
Didn't come from the batsmen, must have been a message from upstairs. I don't like this at all. It's an A side game.
Happened in the 2015 ODI vs Pakistan too.
