Dabengwa has a long way to go, 3/15 and a couple of 30's don't make up for years of doing nothing. I'm still not sure what his role in the team is, I think it is supposed to be "utility allrounder" but unlike Chigumbura (who is an actual allrounder) he has never shown any outstanding displays in either discipline. To his credit though, he is a very good fielder.

At 3/63, maybe today is Dabengwa's day. He's never made a half century, so that would be a good start. Going on to make a hundred would be even better.

Kenya seem to be playing really well, good on them to come back from two big drubbings.

I fear that we wont pass their total, this pitch is completely different and their bowlers seem to be getting it right.

the problem with zc is that the players r inconsistent , they scores 50-70 runs in 10 matches, suddenly when there wll b a pressure on them they wll get a fifty ..
last match matsikenyari scored 90 ,now im sure he willl get total 90 runs in 10 matches,,,,
not only matsikenyari almost everyone ,,,

The problem is that there's nobody else putting pressure on their positions from outside the squad.
Where are the reports of players making hundred upon hundred in club cricket? Or the players, other than the usual suspects, that are scoring prolifically in the Logan Cup?

This why it is very good that Mark Vermeulen might be coming back into the picture, he will be looking to dominate in local cricket now which will put the top order (Masakadza, Sibanda, Matsikenyeri) on notice. And with the emergence of Waller, it leaves Chibhabha also wanting to stake his claim for selection.

Another wicket, I think Zimbabwe have thrown this match away... unless we get some Chigumbura fireworks...

And the intent is there, two attempted slogs in succession.

Face it, Dabengwa isn't going to hit us to victory and if Chigumbura shuts up shot he's going to make a 32 ball duck again. With the run rate at 6 an over we will only win if Chigumbura plays his natural game and makes a decent score. The stage is set for a 40 ball century, let's make it happen :)
