The sledging from the Saffas to our batters is way over the top for a game they are coasting to victory in.

We may get minced in this game, but stand by, we can win some of these games. That game was lost in the first session when we should have elected to bowl. Hindsight is 20:20 though.

Their seamers bowled very well in that session and the ball was zipping, but our guys got themselves out.
Lavert may average 20 but he's a good player. He's been hit in the head about 3 times in the last week, my guess is he's playing with a bad concussion. Needs to get that checked out in the hospital, he's putting himself at big risk.
He's a front foot player and just keeps getting hit, really needs to sort that out, and he needs to take a rest and live to fight another day. He needs to learn to get under it and not sway away, it's not working for him.

NW has gone out to 2 good balls, was unlucky today, did the hard yards and I think he's instilled some fight into our lads. There's clearly some very ugly stuff going on out there and he loves that shit, he's right up for it. That keeper of theirs is the ugly little twat that's kicked this off. It needs to stay nasty as well. Exactly what our guys need. It will be the make or break of a few of them. Those Saffers at age group and U19 are the nastiest little c£#%ts, always have been.
Watch that card get pulled just now because Frost and Welch are giving it right back.

Naqvi has played two poor shots. He's a good organised player.

Both kaitano and welch should bat down the order to get runs on the board, but we're short of openers.
Welch can bat anywhere but Kaitano is not as good an opener against good bowling. Wants bat on ball too much. I really paid attention to kaitano today, he's a very good player. I'd be tempted to open with Frost and Welch. Let Kaitano come in lower down where he can do some damage when conditions get easier.

We keep getting beaten because our batters don't experience good bowling in domestic and they're just not used to it. That's honestly our problem thru and thru. Frost, Welch and Naqvi you can see have played decent bowling where they give u nothing for long periods. Kaitano needs to make a few adaptions, and he's got the game to do that.

Lavert can also be very patient and is in no hurry to score.

This looks ugly, and is...this game. But I can see clearly we can win some games here.

20 years, millions invested, and here we are needing an overweight 39 year old guy who was banned for drugs and corruption and who hasn't touched a cricket ball for 4 years to rescue us because we have failed to produce a single competent batsman in literally two decades of trying.

If ever you needed proof that ZC is the most failed organisation on the planet, there you go.

Taylor's in the best shape of his life, physically and mentally. As far as his cricketing prowess goes, it all depends on if he can still see it! Years out of the game and not playing will only decrease the reactions. The skill and ability to bat will no doubt still be there, but there's so much more to it than that.

From a nostalgia point of view, seeing Taylor don the red again would be amazing to see, although I feel it is a little far fetched

 Interesting point of view. For me it all depends on how many games they organize in each format. What is clear is that we still have a lot of work to do. If you bring him in to play T20s for example because Raza alone is clearly not enough right now then I’m ok with it. He is most of these young batsmen’s role model. The Raza fans are still very young.

I also personally believe all 4 of the senior guys deserve a farewell in Zimbabwe in 2027. I don’t even think ODI cricket will exist as we know it in 10 years time. I got a feeling that plan of limiting ODI games to tournaments will eventually be implemented. Let the guys who really fought for us when the format was at its purest sign out in style and be celebrated.
