Ya that's not true, Wes was educated in SA. Maru at Falcon College, Dion and Bawa at St George's and a UK university, as elite as you can get here.
We need a Truth and Recociliation Commission to understand the real reason.
Wessy went to Churchill before SA dont know if ZC still has a program there. There is no way Maru's family could afford Falcon. But his brother also went to Falcon must have been some kind of scholarship. Dion and Bawa seem to be from better back grounds. Madande was in SA with Wessy could it have been a ZC programme. This would explain why they are very keen on Wessy and Madande being part of the National set up and the fast track
too. Nyamhuri is Lomagundi.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
No i don't think there's a ZC scholarship program anymore. The private SA schools have some sort of requirement to have foreign nationals I think, which is why they essentially poach our good sportsmen. It's also the case with UK public (private) schools. Those schools have close to 10% of their pupils from overseas.
That Churchill scholarship thing has fallen away i think. Even if it hasn't the school is completely f%#ed with almost no facilities so it's pointless. That used to be a really good thing, it's a disaster that the school is in a shambles.
I think Prince Edward has given out a couple of scholarships, but that's also gone downhill badly, but nowhere near as bad as Churchill.
St George's head hunt good black sportsmen as well.
Ya I don't know whether Nyamhuri was on scholarship or not, don't know his background.

Nyamhuri's seems to be from a better back ground as well. He has a young brother 13 or so who seems to be a very good batter. Early days though. Churchill is really a ghost now there was this one hockey ground which used to be the flattest ground in the whole school. They turned the damn thing into a maize field.

Ya if I'm not mistaken the headmaster that ran Churchill into the ground was transferred to Prince Edward. Must be a well connected guy.
