The game's almost gone now, we can't afford to leak runs like this. Get Cremer on, maybe Price too... we have to try something.

True, we really missed a second seamer. To be honest though we fielded a pretty good side and skill errors let us down big time. We look really rusty, Vermeulen and to a lesser extent Taylor being the exceptions.

god this is really poor stuff, sloppy work in the field poor bowling, reckless batting, this is one of the worst performances i have seen from a Zimbabwe side in a long time.

Afternoon guys, not been around much lately but have been doing my best to keep an eye on whats been happening with Zim cricket.

I'm sure you've all said it today but what a dreadful display !, just as the world of Zim cricket seems to be on the up something happens to kick it back down again and allows people to say that Zim are simply not good enough.

I can't understand leaving out BOTH Mupariwa and Rainsford, Chibhabha is nearly always an expensive bowler so how were Zim going to hide his overs ?

The biggest mistake of all could be in letting Ashraful get his confidence back, a truly bad move as he could win all 5 games on his own.

The other error to me, still, is having Utseya as captain, i don't care how many awards he might win and what a nice guy he is but one thing he IS NOT, and that is an international captain.

Still the opportunity for a 4-1 series win to Zim, get yourselves together for the next game guys, you'll need to play a damn sight better for the rest of the week.

Well done to Vermeulen though, a good way to get back into the national side, it would have been a very early finish without him.

Dreadful performance by Zim....Campbell has selected the wrong side on that pitch, I know you have all said it but Chibahba opening the bowling!? he is a part timer! I think we should hit them with a more balanced attack of seam and spin My 11 would be.

1 Masakadza
2 Vermulean
3 Williams
4 Taylor
5 Mutizwa
6 Coventry
7 Chigumbura
8 Utseya
9 Price
10 Rainsford
11 Manyumwa

Absolutely terrible selection. What on Earth were they thinking with that attack? We may have a strength in spin but you still need two decent seamers to start things off. Even India back in the day had a couple to keep it tight. Rainsford should have played, no question.

It is still good to see Vermeulen make runs though, he always was such a classy player and to see him back in the side is a boost. Same for Coventry though he played too aggressively today- a general fault watching those highlights. They need to learn to knock the ball around a bit more, get the score going without too much risk.
