Brevis mania has been totally eclipsed by Stubbs mania.

That Leach delivery that got Markram was a peach.
He didn't do a lot wrong there, just had his name on it.
Root is the guy to emulate if you're teaching a young guy.
He plays spin, and in particular leg spin off the back foot and backs himself to keep the sliders, shooters, snooters and whatever other shit these guys bowl, out. Then occasionally steps forward and helps himself to a half volley or a sweep.
If you take a big stride forward to a turning leg spin and you haven't quite covered it you're in shit. Hard to put in a big stride and have soft hands simultaneously. You're better off going back and playing French cricket, plus if it sits up you can punch it through cover for one. Leg stump guard and show the leggie your stumps. Even going back, I reckon step to leg. Root is a wizard against spin, makes it look easy.

Also he stepped as if it wasn't going to turn. Had he stepped another 2 inches outside the line he would have thick edged it and it wouldn't have carried
Spin rules from Robin Brown-
Try and go back to leg spin
Forward to offspin
Play offspin as if it isn't going to turn
Play leggies as if it is.
Never forgotten those wise words

Butcher talking Crawley out of a spot in that English side.
Not often you hear a commentator talk a guy down like that

Ngidi bowling with a bit of heat here.
Touched 90mph up the hill. His rhythm looks excellent to say the least

Yea I was wincing at those comments. These commentators have a lot of pull and weather they want to admit it, the selectors are subliminally listening

That just didn't look out to the naked eye.
Had revs on it and somehow actually went about 2 inches the other way?
Pope batting on leg but then pressing so hard to outside off is going to get you into trouble.
