Shame on corrupted ZC.
Re: Zimbabwe A Vs South Africa A! June
Looks like Brad Evans has opted out of this A tour as well as Bangladesh tour, now had he not been selected for this A tour, I'm sure everyone here would have blamed ZC for prompting him to move to UK by not selecting him.
I know ZC have many problems and they've done bad things in the past, but the way every single thing that goes wrong is attributed to them is also not correct.
I hate to say this but players just don't have enough desire to play for Zimbabwe, may be just may be it will change if Zimbabwe qualify for 2023 World Cup but otherwise it doesn't look good.

Are you forgetting that he clocked 144 or 144.5 in the Dhaka Test in 2014? I remember that well because my reaction wasforeignfield wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 9:25 amWhere I agree with Sloan is that Chatara didn't bowl 140 in the Test match against Pakistan. In the few Tests he played under a speed gun I only remember one or two quicker deliveries touching 140 in the West Indies.
Its the fastest delivery I have ever seen from a ZIM pacer in the 7-8 years I've been following the side closely.

No, I didn't remember that; thanks for the reminder. Shows that the 2015 speeds did not come out of nowhere.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sun May 30, 2021 5:59 pmAre you forgetting that he clocked 144 or 144.5 in the Dhaka Test in 2014? Those Bad things done in the past are making them feel insecured as a result they are opting out from playing in Zim colours.Unless some rule is made, Zim will continue to lose talents. Since 2010 Under 19 WC, some excellent prospect has either left the game or representing other nations.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Sun May 30, 2021 4:59 pmLooks like Brad Evans has opted out of this A tour as well as Bangladesh tour, now had he not been selected for this A tour, I'm sure everyone here would have blamed ZC for prompting him to move to UK by not selecting him.

If you then opt out of an A tour in favour of club cricket dont expect specialist treatment next season. That's the thing that always surprises me. The red carpet was rolled out. Literally the last hurdle was just to have a good series against SA and you in the team even though people like Nyauchi might have felt some type of way about it because they had to play maybe 7 seasons to get into the team

And not to forget Chivanga actually made his List A debut right away in this A series itself. But it should be fine if we come across some prodigy who should get to the head of the queue quickly, like Evans and Chivanga, but time will tell if they were good enough to jump the queue.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 5:07 amIf you then opt out of an A tour in favour of club cricket dont expect specialist treatment next season. Nyauchi suffered due to Ntini messing his chances up, should have debuted at least a couple of years earlier though. At least it was Ntini and not ZC top brass, so at least once he moved out Nyauchi was back in contention.

I'm slightly dissapointed Evans hadn't stuck around for the A series. I guess any chance of him representing Zimbabwe has fizzled out
Re: Zimbabwe A Vs South Africa A! June
Im a little indifferent but mostly due to ZC track record. Opting out of a national series is one thing and thats the decision the individual must live with. It's always been the case that a player does something, we lambast them, then find out later that something happened behind the scenes with ZC.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 5:07 amIf you then opt out of an A tour in favour of club cricket dont expect specialist treatment next season. I'm not saying Evans should get special treatment, but I guess we only have to look at the treatment of Chamu as an example. That man walks into any side not on form, but on who he knows. So to make the hurdle harder for the other guys isn't exactly fair.
If Evans or a Mashinge or anyone for that matter who is playing club cricket performs well in club cricket and wants to come back to Zim, I would welcome them back. The reality is we don't have the liberty to be selective and shut out players. We especially don't have that liberty when we continue to pick Chamu, Richmond, Maruma, Wellington etc etc
