Coetzee is going to be a star if they let him. Was seriously impressed.

Shumba could be a great finisher for Zimbabwe in future. He can hit the bowl hard. All he needs is to put some weight, start hard hitting drills and bring variation to his bowling. He could be threatening if he could develop a vicious arm ball, a primary wicket taking delivery for a left arm spinner

Ya Madhevere will get some short stuff from Coetzee next game. That was an unnecessary shot, pulling above shoulder height is low percentage. I've seen him late on a few pulls in the past. He just needs to watch them go by unless it's at the end...or a ramp.
SA will come back strong tomorrow.
The key for us being competitive is to get to the 12-15th over only one down, even if we are a little slow.

And Coetzee should bat higher up the order. He's more than handy as a batsman.

He wasn't too impressive in the 2020 U-19 world cup. But perhaps he's developed his game in the past 2.5 years.

Perhaps he played below par in that tournament and yes, one would assume you would develop your game in a professional environment. Are you bored?

In saw the game in parts and Tanaka Chivanga looked quick, have they hired some bowling coach or is it still Douglas Hondo?
I think Zimbabwe have now got a good set of bowlers, Blessing, Ngarava, Evans, Chivanga, Chatara, Nyauchi, Tiripano, Jongwe... If some good bowling coach can work with them, it will be great.

I'm sure there is a bit of history between Coetzee and Wes. Same age group. Shumba and Madande are all the same age group too. They all played against each other beforeGoogly wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 5:55 amYa Madhevere will get some short stuff from Coetzee next game. I have a bad feeling that if Shumba, Wes and Madande progress well then you also get young Taruvinga progressing, CSA will be tempted to start poaching. These kids tick a lot of boxes for them. If you put Wes in the CSA system he will be 10 times better than what he is right now.
I remember back in 2020 the SA u19 coach saying they knew a few of our players because they were in South African schools. They even had that 1 guy as a reserve for their u19 team this year.
