Has Prince given up on opening entirely? From memory, he was pretty good up top.

He still opens. They clearly wanted to try Campbell and Kaitano.

Zolksy and Larry are waxing lyrical about Campbell atm.

"I definitely have a problem with people who want to push for players on the basis that they are Caucasian. They are destroying these players by throwing them in the deep end before they are ready. They must not involve them in their politics." Zolsky

Surely he can't be serious. The list of guys they've thrown to the wolves is pretty lopsided.
I recall Roche and Murray getting a couple of games, but was that for the main side or the A side?
But thereafter it's been Nyamhuri, Wes, Shumba, Madande, Marumani, Myers and probably a couple of other youngsters that temporarily escape me.

Important game so far for Tsiga, Welch Jr and Matigimu. These tours are always a big opportunity. Got to feel they have given themselves a chance to go to Bangladesh.

It's a shame we didn't get to see Newman and Gwandu play. I feel like Ben, Nick, Bennett and Wes were already going to Bangladesh. Myers ruled himself out here. Now with Matigimu and Nyauchi doing well you have to feel like either Newman or Gwandu won't make it. Newman might just make it because he is a left arm seamer but Trevor has serious competition.

Another open spot is for the specialist spinner. Masekesa will probably go by default to fill that role in the overall squad

Ya Tsiga has really put his hand up for Tests. He's done brilliantly in tough conditions.

I think a decent innings for Gimu right now will really make them think.

Gwandu and Newman would have leaked runs here. Their good stuff is good but they're inconsistent. These Durham guys just give nothing away. Then when they occasionally bowl one you can hit you're in the wrong mindset. More play against this calibre of bowlers and the better guys will come thru.

Myers has not had a good time of it, he must be low on confidence. In my opinion he has a few technical things to iron out, but he will. He's thoughtful and determined to improve.

I'd be surprised if they considered MW for a late inclusion to Bangladesh. Hopefully someone other than Mutendira and Chigumbura were watching this innings because, and I keep saying it, he's our most talented player. He changed his game after 50 and I was hoping we'd see the array of shots that he has, but it was not to be. Well he should have just kept ticking it over but you could see he was wanting to play, which was stupid.

Another way of looking at it is that some of the younger guys might be better off facing Scotland who will also be tough to beat than sitting on the bench against Bangladesh. If we look at it that way then I think Matigimu and Tsiga will be the only new inclusions.

Ya agreed. Scotland are tough.

Tsiga on his way to another good 50 here. Conditions have gotten a bit easier and bowlers are looking a bit tired.
This could turn out to be a really good game actually.

Problem is you ideally want to bowl at them in the first session but we won't have enuf runs.

Look they could roll us in the next 15 minutes which makes my point moot  we get a 200 run lead here and our big lads come out the blocks we could beat these guys.

Tsiga goes to 50 with a big 6. Nice.
