State of SA
Re: State of SA
Erwee played in the Surrey Prem and didn't do that well, shows the strength of it.
Rousseau has to be close to a call-up, he's a fantastic batsman.
SA were well beaten in the bowling dept. which you don't see too often.

Re: State of SA
This innings summed up Bavuma perfectly, he’s got all the shots and looks like a great batsman, but he hasn’t the mentality of a test cricketer.
Barbecued Zondo & Maharaj then got himself out playing a stupid slog sweep. His record is incredible, how can a top to middle order batsman score so many fifties without a century

Re: State of SA
Am I correct in assuming that Hamilton Masakadza still continues to be the only native African player in the history of the game to have more than one test hundred to their credit (while also being the first one to score a test hundred)? No other native African player across SA and Zim has scored more than one. More shocking for the SA side of things. I thought Keegan Peterson is the guy to set the record straight, let's see...

Yeah that’d be correct,CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 6:30 amAm I correct in assuming that Hamilton Masakadza still continues to be the only native African player in the history of the game to have more than one test hundred to their credit (while also being the first one to score a test hundred)? Re: State of SA
As disappointing as Bavuma's conversion rate is, he has been the least of their issues, he is the only South African to average over 40 this year!

Re: State of SA
Anyone see the absolute state of the Varsity Cup yesterday?
This isn’t the first time this has happened, btw, that a couple black guys have gone down in warm up and the team has to play a man down as the 11th player literally couldn’t play because they only had white options left.
This happened a couple years back in the bloody Momentum one Day cup too, when Geoff Toyana had to field for the side because he was black. But please tell me more about how politics isn’t the main cause of the stuff up of SA cricket. What a joke.

Re: State of SA
Lol, ya mate, realized they did, I saw them at 179/9 something. This is easily the weakest South African batting line up I've ever seen... I don't know where do they go from here. Probably Brevis is one player they will look to fast track into thr national team, Janneman Malan, Tony de Zorzi and Ryan Rickelton are others.
Still not enough colored players coming through, and that's disappointing.
Re: State of SA
Is Brevis interested in playing test cricket or is he headed straight to the t20 franchise circuit?

And how did this useless Khaya Zondo, with a First Class career average of 30, find himself in the team I wonder?
