[Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe - 5th ODI

Post by maehara »

Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
Chittagong, 5 November 2009

Ahem. Moving quickly onwards....

This is now a face-saver and our last chance to take something resembling "form" into the short series against South Africa. Although somehow, I'm not overly hopeful...

I'm not venturing into selecting a playing XI here. Whoever plays, hope they play well.

A report from the Bangladeshi Daily Star

http://www.thedailystar.net/newDesign/n ... nid=112584

I know the report refers to the 4th ODI, but will the wicket be the same for the 5th ?, it seems that the match referee wanted to know why it produced 'too much turn in the morning'

Hmmm can we really resign ourselves to fate. I knw that the team is not a 44 all out team. They really need to get out there and play the game the way it should be.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

I dont think ive ever felt such a lack of hope for a voctory before a match beofre, its not that i dont think the side has talant as they do its more a case of dreading watching our batsman playing 40+ overs of spin and making enough mistakes to loose the match

Another typically hazy Chittagong day it seems. Bangladesh won the toss and have put Zimbabwe in to bat. I was hoping Zimbabwe would bat second. Mpofu in for Jarvis and Mutizwa in for Coventry.
