It has a nice bar with lots of memorabilia. The honour boards are a who's who of Bulawayo sport.

The ground itself - my lasting memory was that it's hard to believe this ground has hosted a Test match. It's quite a modest place. I think it's a nice ground, but it's like a normal suburban oval you'd find here in Australia. There were some major construction works going on out the front of the club for what looked like a hockey field so that's probably where their priorities lie.

The Afghan facebook account had a number of photos from their matches. It looked like a very low-key affair but the jacarandas were in full bloom :)

Zimbabwe A will whitewash Bangladesh A, and Hondo will get back to the national team.

BAC does indeed look like a school or surburban oval. No wonder it was never kept international status after its first test. Why did BAC host the first test in Bulawayo anyway? Was it superior to QSC at the time?

You've got both statements there the wrong way around.

Nope. Teams weaker than Tuskers, Mountaineers, Rhinos & Eagles are thumping Bangladesh A right now. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/s ... 27509.html

Hondo will lead Zimbabwe A (Hami, Vusi, Chari, Mutombodzi, Nyumbu etc) to crushing defeats of Bangaldesh A, and will be re-employed in the national team. Question is what attack will he get?

Bangaldesh A have really been an embarassment here in South Africa. This is pathetic. Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das, Sabbir Rahman, Shuvagata Hom, Taijul Islam, Jubair Hossain, Mohammad Shahid and Al-Amin Hossain are part of the squad. are part of their squad but they still got embarassed.

This is like Logan Cup B League, County 2nd XI, or Futures League...even worse.

I don't know about the reasons behind it, but while QSC had been the main ground during the Currie Cup days, no FC or tour matches were played there between 1983 and 1994. BAC took over during that time.

Hardly any mention of cricket when you look at their fb page. The tennis courts are in good shape too.
