Sibanda and Vitori part of this match. Shouldn't Vitori be hurrying up and getting his action cleared while he is in India? Also, I see no point of playing Maruma (and may be even Mutombodzi) and Mupariwa for the A side. Formers are blocking genuine batsmen who could progress with these opportunities while they try to convert themselves to batsmen at this stage of their career. Thilan Samaraweeras don't happen every day. Mupariwa in an A team is a lost cause too. I'm fine if Vitori the batsman is being tried out with T20 WC in mind

Afghans can capitulate from here due to scoreboard pressure, but if they don't this would be a very ordinary performance from our guys. Clearly we had to put more runs on the board. In form Musakanda gets to play 6 balls at the end while Maruma eats up more than 6 overs to score 20 runs. Misplaced priorities.

On another note, since AFG have ODI status, shouldn't their A matches be classified as List A at least? These are definitely decent quality cricket matches...

The Afghans were clearly on a steeper trajectory back in 2014 when they drew their first ever series in Zimbabwe when Zim had all of Taylor, Hammy, Chatara, and Williams. The idea that Hammy's absence cost the series was debunked in the UAE as Hammy was in rich form throughout. The idea that Cremer's absence cost the series was also debunked as he was handled well in 4 of the games and even when he ran through them with a fiver, Zim lost. Both of these myths I had predicted ahead of time.

I had also predicted that Afghanistan would eventually rise past both Zimbabwe and Ireland due to their superior athleticism, and more importantly talent. They are ahead of Zimbabae already and may be ahead of Ireland too. If they aren't, they will be soon.

The Afg U19 which beat Zim U19 is out of the World Cup withoit any win and Zim is well in control. We lost yesterday because of not holding our catches. We had 2 brilliant fielding efforts but dropped 4 catches also I think we were 20 short. Afghanistan is exciting team surely more than the Irish and Bangla's ( I know you wont agree but this is my perception )

If by "perception" you mean an accurate representation of what actually occured according to factual history, yes its just my perception.

Doc, Hami averages 25 across formats against the top sides. That is the definition of below average. I probably did predict 4-0, but my very first prediction was 3-1. I could make excuses for those 2 defeats as you do, but I won't and give credit to Zim for forcing Bangladesh to play poor cricket. The world t20 should provide a more accurate picture. The 2015 world cup saw ZIM win every warm up match while BD lost 4 out of 4 warm ups. You know how each team fared once the real tournament started.

Their batting however is less exciting than Bermuda's except when they do well. Bangladesh on the other hand have more than a few players exciting enough to get the attention of cricket's equivalent of porn, the IPL. Porn is by definition "exciting" and so is the IPL. Just as porn selects women with double D cup tits and men with 8 inch cocks, the IPL selects the most "exciting" names. Ashraful, Razzak, Mashrafe, Tamim, Shakib, Mushfiq, and Mustafizur Are all players who've been in the IPL auction. Zimbabwe have only had Taylor. But if you wish to believe that an associate nation are more exciting than a up and coming Test power, its your prerogative. Loved your #InspirationPorn but BT is not the only player selected from Zim in IPL. Tibbly Taibu (Kolkata Knightriders) was the first and Ray Price (Mumbai Indians) the second. And dont ever compare me with Mangongo (Human to human comparisons make sense). I did not watch U19 Zim team in India simply because a certain Mangongo was the head coach.
