Some real positives from the test match

Post by watermelon »

just spent the last few days at Bulawayo.

Im really excited, after today i can see that the future is bright and we are finally, after nearly 2 decades, going places!

Highlights for me.
Donald Tiripano.
What.a.star!
held his bat beautifully in the first innings and showed the way from number 10, showing the way from top order flops like Williams,Chari and Ervine. Couple this with his superb line and length, we have a keeper who is suited to the test arena.

Prince Mausvere
The Symbol has really risen into his own. From nowhere he has gone from domestic also-ran to one of the best batsman in the world. I am not sure how? but the rest have to learn. Acentury in the warm ups, and a fighting dig in the first innings gave us respectability.

Williams flopped by only scoring a century I guess. Prince may need a few more scores before we anoint him as one of the world's best.

Tiripano's 49

Craig's 50 although needed to go on but we're struggling for positives so I'll give him this one .....

Cremer's 2nd innings showed real fight whilst getting hit on the body .....

Sean's century a Zimbabwe record was the main highlight .....

Williams, Cremer, Tiripano and Ervine all showed fight.

Raza was a pass mark maybe for at least he went for it. Prince had a mixed effort.

Chari needs to go, Shingi in for Chinouya.

Watermelon was in Bulawayo !.Maybe if I was in attendance , I would've seen you mate (how splendid it would have been heh?).Truth is I did walk past QSC on day1, I then checked the scoreboard from outside & it registered 80/8 so I thought "why bother".Anyway I hope you had blast in our "crap town" (your words not mine).
