Longer domestic season to start mid October

Meanwhile, the 2016/17 domestic cricket season is due to start next month and run through to end of April next year. ZC public relations and media manager Darling Majonga said four provinces will participate in first class and List A competitions. The four are Harare Metropolitan Eagles, Bulawayo Metropolitan Tuskers, Midlands Rhinos as well as Manicaland Mountaineers.

“Our domestic season is scheduled to start mid-October 2016 and end in April 2017. However, our pre-season meeting which is scheduled for the 27th of September 2016 will deliberate on the proposed 2016/17 structure and come up with the final draft.

We have scheduled 12 weeks of four-day cricket, 18 weeks of 50-over cricket and a Twenty20 tournament to be played over 10 days. Four-day and 50-over cricket will be played on a home-and-away basis,’’ said Majonga.

12 weeks of 4 day cricket would mean each side would play each other 4 times? would be great if it turns out that way (not holding my breath).

Each team should have 4 national team players & those in the Zim A squad
Each team should have 3 under 21 players in they squads...
at least 1 minority in each team to start racial healing in Zimbabwe..
Taibu, Streak & ZC this is the only way forward...
