It seems, ZC happy with providing games to Zim Under 19s against weak associates like Namibia. All that started with tour of Malaysia, then tour to Namibia and now Namibians will be touring back.
When it comes to facing strong opposition,Zim Under 19s faced South African Under 19s franchises in CSA Week and a tri series comprised of South Africa U19 & Sri Lanka, where Zimbabwe Under 19s got fully smashed. Except Ryan Murray, every players lwere under performed
Being a test playing nation ZC should try to provide games for U19s against strong opposition to build the strong team for 2018 Under 19 World Cup a instead of arranging matches against weak teams as they wil be facing strong teams. It was also decided that Zim Under 19 will be a part of Pro 50 One Dayers to gain experience and confidence facing the national team players, but there was no sign of any fifth team representing Zim under 19s.

Namibia came 7th in the 2016 u19 World Cup, higher than any other African side (including South Africa). I don't know how many of those players are still qualified, but its a bit disrespectful to suggest this is a 'weaker' side that you shouldn't have to bother playing.

South African Under 19 team that represented in 2016 Under 19 World Cup was one of the weakest side getting defeated by Bangladesh, Namibia and even by Zimbabwe. Namibia ended up in 7th but in the next Under 19 World Cup only few of the players will get selected due to age bar.
Present Zimbabwe Under 19s are doing well against weak teams they did well in Malaysia and smashed Nambia in Namibia tour whereTrent Jayden looked like Bradman, Rochi, Shumba looked like biggest star in Youth Cricket and will soon get chance in the National team, but the same Zim Under 19 were smashed by the under 19 franchises of South Africa in CSA Week and in the tri nation series that included SA and Sl under 19 teams, present South African Under 19s looked strong and doing well against the top sides that matter, associates like Namibia are simply weak, they can bring some surprise beating top teams sometimes, but not regularly. Hence, ZC should have tried under 19 series against strong teams instead of associates to provide the youths the tough level they are going to get in the upcomming under 19 world cup.

I think at the Under 19 level The Nambian side is equally matched to our side as the majority of the Namibian kids are in top RSA schools such as Affies and Paarl Gym. The standard is similar i will pop by today but there is a chnace of rain a bit over cast this morning.

Praising Namibian Youth Side as a top or competative side is like " Self Satisfaction"
Trent Jayden will be again ready to smash them as he looks best against weaker nations then against strong teams.

This is the squad according to Cricinfo, although today's match hasn't yet stared and is affected by rain:
P Chesa, M Chikowero, J Connolly, G Dollar, SM Gordon, T Jakachira, P Kaunda, W Madhevere, T Makoni, DS Mazhawidza, D Myers, D Oldreive, B Phiri, K Robinson, LN Roche, D Schadendorf, J Schadendorf, M Shumba*†
There are two Schadendorfs!!! We are home, bring on the U19 world cup

namibia is nowhere near our u19 squad they got lucky at that u19 world cup where they played weakened teams. this selected team is also weakened. Dane schanderdoff must be 14 years old a good batsman for his age group lets see what he can do against bigger boys. no murray, frost, tigere, harrison, zvidzai proves theyre overconfident of beating them easily. On a lighter note there is a young kid called brian bennett you have to see what this kid can do never mind the welchs or currans this kid is the real deal must be 12 years old now talented kid
take note of that name because we will be talking about him in the coming years

Talented Kids doesn't stay in Zimbabwe, they represent other nation. The way Zimbabwe were progressing in shorter formats in 90s, if talented kids stayed, Zim would have ranked among top five sides in world cricket.
Kids will continue to impress and ZC will continue to fail to nurture such talents.

So, a low scoring match and a win then. Roche captaining the side and doing well with both bat and ball. Expected at least Frost and Zvidzai there, ahead of someone like Dollar who did not have a single decent knock with all the opportunities he got. Surely, Connolly and Mazhawidza should have batted higher too...
