If Zimbabwe bats early

Possible Threats

1) Viswa Farnando's both ways swing

2) Lakmal's accuracy & Kumara's pace

3) Embuldeniya not a big turner of the ball but dries away runs

Things look bleak at this stage with rain forecast all day and for the next three days at least whilst there’s also no sign that this series will be telecast

Listening to Sean Williams’ interview I think they’re going in with four seamers, which I predicted over a month ago

I think we will get play. It will be overcast but I think we will play. At least half a day hopefully. As I was saying before these conditions at completely different to what we are used to. We need different skillsets. 4 seamers only makes sense. No need for a specialist spinner. That would be a waste of a spot. I like Nyauchi but I'm hoping Tshuma gets a go first.

I doubt we will need 5 days anyway with these kind of conditions. 3 and a half days max

Haven't really followed up on the broadcast but knowing ZC something will pop up soon. Last minute announcement. If the weather permits I will go and watch a couple of hours

Not as excited for this series. Could be to do with the fact that with everything that has gone on in the past few months, it just seems to justify the corruption and ineptitude that exists within ZC, and what we as fans have to put up with.

Knowing the ICC is complicit in this too is essentially them shitting on the fans and genuine players. Also, Hammy has endorsed it all, so it almost seems dirty to be behind them.

Looks like Nyauchi, Ndlovu & Kasuza are in, probably means Mumba is out

Disappointing although the pitch doesn't look like its a green monster, looks pretty good for batting so a good 1st innings score is important

Zimbabwe won the toss batting 1st

Given how 80% of Test matches are finishing inside 4 days...losing 5-6 sessions to rain shouldn't be a problem at all.

That being said, all Tests should be 5 days, unless you can play 110 overs per day.
