Excellent news !! So we now have Ervine, Williams, Taylor, Flower, Taibu and Mazakadza as our main batters. Looks very very healthy from my point of view.

The order should be as followed in my opinion:

1. Brendan Taylor
2. Hamilton Mazakadza
3. Sean Williams
4. Tatenda Taibu (Wkt)
5. Grant Flower
6. Craig Ervine
7. Elton Chigumbura (Cpt)
8. Greame Cremer
9. Ed Rainsford
10. Chris Mpofu
11. Ian Nicholson

12th man: Prosper Utsea. (I've only left Utsea out due to the nature of the South African wickets, would he suit them ?? Probably not. But I've been really impressed with his work in the past 3 ODI's)

i know much better squad with flower in there ! he is a legend and should inspire the group here would be my starting lineup

1.B.Taylor
2.H.masakadza
3.S.williams
4.T.Taibu (wk)
5.G.Flower
6.C.Ervine
7.E.Chigumbura
8.G.Cremer
9.P.Utesya
10.E.Rainsford
11.C.Mpofu

12th man:I.Nicolson

i went with utesya ahead of another pace bowler so we can choke south africa up with cremer utesya and flower even chuck in williams, wih pace rainsford will shape the ball with pace and mpofu to create that bounce with his height and pace then chigz can bowl a few skidding onto the bat. the top 7 actually looks a lot better with flower in there. someone to help the developement of Craig ervine , showing him how to construct a innings and rotate the strike. im glad coventry is in the t20 squad because thats the only format he should be playing. i also believe it was good of the selectors to pick dabengwa , it shows if u show form domestically u will be rewarded.great standards for the rest of the domestic players. i hope we can at least win one game. i am confident we will give them a run for the money.

This is a relief to everyone! YAY... !!!! I don't know about Utseya thought - maybe you should squeeze him somewhere in there! LOL. But on a serious note, I am worried (as always) about our lack of pace - spin is probably our best bet...

Rumour mill is that he's more interested in concentrating on his business than on cricket. Can't treat that as fact until / unless there's a comment from the man himself, though.

By most accounts he built himself up quite a successful business in the years he was away from cricket, perfectly understandable if he wants that to be his career now.

In the comments list regarding the Zimbabwe squad for south africa someone made the comment that ray price is on compassionate leave to tend to his sick father. Not sure how reliable the source is but there you go
