Hondo

Anyone tell me why Douggie Hondo isn't in the national squad. Is he available to play? With such poor fast bowlers available to Zim you'd imagine a guy of his experience and ability would be one of the first names on the team sheet.

I read somewhere that he'd given up on playing for the national side, and wanted to concentrate on his first class side. Plus age isn't really on his side, and he's lost whatever pace he had 6 or 7 years ago completely. He used to be a very good bowler for the national side, but with younger talent coming through i don't think he'd make the side even if he made himself available.

Did ye guys not see the recent series!!! Hondo is miles ahead of Mpofu, Rainsford and co. Zim board should do whatever it takes to get him back in the national side. Having potential is one thing being carted around for 8 an over is another. Zim cannot play tests with the current pace attack. Could see India/SA 420-3 at close of day 1. You can't have a test attack made up of 4 spinners and hope to compete.
