I know it's the name of the town and not the ground, but you hear "King City" and expect something a little more impressive... :)

Welcome to the forum Thomas :)

What this shows is that Harare Sports Club scrubs up really well as far as international venues are concerned. Queens Sports Club as well. I suppose if we have any Kadoma Sports Club players (Rainsford) they might feel right at home in Canada :P

They are charging people $40 to attend this!! Most tickets were given out free to sponsor's friends and family, so they claim 50% of tickets are gone, the remaining tickets are sold at an exorbitant $40 per head! For that crappy ground?? This is why Cricket can never flourish in north america..one word GREED!

CA$40 roughly equals £20 - is that per match, or for the series? Cricket Ireland were charging £20 for a "season" pass to the World Twenty20 qualifiers at Stormont not too long ago, so $40 for the series wouldn't be too far off the norm.

That said, Stormont is a much nicer ground :)

That is a ridiculous price. The quality of the cricket probably won't be that high, they should have been giving tickets away to create interest among the public.

I wonder if the series will be televised?

Guys its $40 per day and it goes on for 3 to 4 days. Premium seats are $100 per day(match)..there are soo many people who were planning on attending from USA, some of my family have just decided to cancel, it costs enough to fly here, stay in a motel and then have to pay $40 per day..tickets for the event if you want to watch all matches after flying here is as much as their airfare from Michigan to Toronto!

And to top it off, there is no television coverage (at least, no TV coverage has been sourced yet, and it's pretty unlikely that they will find any willing parties now). The whole tournament looks like it's going to operate at a loss and fail, I don't think they've even found a sponsor (???)
