Horrible start from the Mountaineers, 5 down for 18 runs, Mawoyo, the Colonel, and Hammie (a 14-ball duck; the run of bad form continues) all gone cheaply. But since then young Kasuza has embarked on another rebuilding job, 39 off 36 balls and counting, Mountaineers 94/5.

Chirimuta just gone for 46, 144/6. 126 added for the 6th wicket. Not a bad little recovery, that, but doubt the Mountaineers' tail will repeat a stand like that...

They only have to hang around with Kasuza :D Maiden List A ton up for the youngster, and still going, 111* from 82 balls. Not too bad to bring up your maiden FC and List A centuries in consecutive matches.

Well done Kevin Kasuza. He's not too bad actually. I'll lok out for him in the next couple of years. He keeps wicket occasionally. All the more reason why we should be concerned when an 'older' guy like Eckersley walks in and suppresses his opportunities! What's the point of bringing in an overseas player who's less than 28 and lacks the pedigree. We need mature competent players to pass on something to our youngsters NOT FEED OFF THEM!!!

Roy Kaia is another one who looks like a good bet to turn into an allrounder. Mbofana seems to be slacking off a bit. With Meth being increasingly marginalised, Elton's job is very safe. For all their potential, it will be a while before these youngsters, make the grade!

Hopefully the colonel can help with Kevin Kasuza's development - looks like a good batter and is only 18!

Not the most impressive of starts to his stint with Mountaineers, though - 8.

Mountaineers 229 all out, Kasuza 129 not out. Kaia 4/22.

Yeah, Kevin Kasuza has enough on his plate with the Under-19 World Cup next year. I hope we'll put up a better show than last time around.

And while I was writing the last wicket has gone down, Kasuza 129*. Bit disappointed that the tail could not hang around longer to support him. But a stand-out performance none the less.
