Eagles T20 Squad

Post by aydee »

Apparently this is the Mash Eagles T20 squad:

Sakindar Raza Butt, Regis Chakabva, Cephas Zhuwao, Tino Mutombodzi, Trevor Garwe, Mark Mbofana, PJ Moore, Nathan Waller, Kyle Jarvis, Ray Price, Andrew Hall, Rory Hamilton-Brown, Elton Chigumbura, Peter Trego, Stuart Matsikinyeri, Foster Mutizwa and Ryan Tendoscarte.

4 overseas players, (which is the max allowed in an XI in the IPL). I hope ZC are pushing to get a side included in the Champions League. It would be excellent overseas experience, and potentially financially lucrative. I don't think this side would have got embarrassed against the likes of Auckland and Leicestershire, etc. in the qualifier...

I don't care who the others get. The way things are going, they'd better give Gayle(if he's still coming down). Hopefully Greg Strydom is looking to have a hit in T20 and we can find a place for him. He can't do so worse than Coventry at the moment.

CLT20 Qualifiers is a target which we should be looking at. I also hope they are working on securing a slot!

Rory Hamilton-Brown, Peter Trego, and Ryan ten Doeschate should be in good batting form having just come from Hong Kong Sixes.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Seems like they have plenty of all rounders, no real bowlers. I would not count on the bowling of Rory, Trego or Ten doeschate.

I have to add this team has the ingredients to make it to the final and/or reach the champions league. The management deserves applause for putting these guys together as a team.

wow thats a classy squad and in my books should dominate , look at this lineup
1.S.Razza
2.R.Hamilton-BRown
3.R.Tendoscarte
4.F.Mutizwa
5.P.Trego
6.C.Zhuwao
7.S.Matsikenyeri
8.E.Chigumbura
9.A.Hall
10.K.Jarvis
11.R.Price

this is a very impressive team and could destroy opponents with the likes of chigumbura , tendoscarte, hamilton brown and andrew hall ! the bowling would be jarvis ,price , tendoscarte, chigumbura , hall and trego so much depth

I doubt Zhuwawo in that squad , he is the type of player that lives on past reputations .
