I dont think it is time to drop Hami. He has to fail a few more times imo.

H Masakadza has to go and i think it is hard to justify his place in the national team

agreed , i would love to see the likes of ervine or mutizwa given us much cracks in the team as him. im very confident they would be scoring a lot more runs.

If they keep on improving as they are doing then
Roland Benade
Steven Trenchard
Glenn Querl
Gavin Ewing
may soon get their chances.

There is a need to make sure the A side is functional even if it means playing Kenya or Namibia or a SA provinces select .
Alister Campbell work for you........again We need all these prospectives to get some international exposure .

I agree with this. He has been short of form, particularly in the one-dayers, but only a couple of months ago he got a crucial ton in the 1st test back. I still think Hamilton is among Zim's best 6 players batsmen.

I'm assuming you are speaking of ODI's exclusively.

Granted he has been in the wilderness a bit, but factually he made 341 (third highest after Taylor and Vusi) in the past 3 series, more than Taibu and Chigs from those with 10 or more innings)...not defending the man, he struggled in the last series vs NZ, but although not fantastic against Pakistan and Bangladesh, he was decent...
andybligz93 wrote:...and ncube not performing to there best ...
Look I am with the crowd about him being fast tracked to international level, ahead of many others, but if we are to be fair, has he really failled, having gotten there? I've given my 2c on this one, and still feel people are being very unfair. The boy took 3 wickets vs NZ, a series where bowlers, Jarvis, Price, Mpofu and Meth all struggled for wickets...he played one game and emerged the HIGHEST wicket taker (3)...and he struggled??? :o :x
andybligz93 wrote:..and the likes of chigz , utseya , mutizwa all under pressure in the odis
Chigs should be because with the bat, and as a batting all rounder he hasn't delivered, but as a bowler he has done decently, 4th highest with 7 wickets behind, Vitori's 12, and Price and Utseya's 8 apiece...hence also my question about Utseya being under pressure, Mutizwa may be under pressure, as he averages 23 over 7 chances for the 3 series under review, although much better than Ervine's 13...

Ervine averages 13 in ODIs in the past 6 months, Meth (an unfortunate lad), took 4 from his 3 innings, 1 more than Ncube who had one innings..and need we remind that in that one innings Meth went for 85/0...

Maybe you base this on List A performances, which would beg the question where is Matsi and Ewing on your wish list? Gavin is highest runs getter so far and Matsi is second at a healthy average of 113, higher tha Ervine (who continues to improve and do well, but not ahead of these two gentlemen)

Look I don't mean to rain on your parade Bligz, just pointing out inconsistencies, unless this is another " I like so and so better than so and so...and I don't need a reason..." and my point is not to pull down Meth or Ervine, or protect Hami, Ncube, and Utseya, I just want people to be objective, and above all fair, we all have our favourites for whatever reason, but we must be fair in our assesment, the only person under pressure for me is Mutizwa, who like Mawoyo, I see as more a Test player than ODI...and who would Meth replace from Jarvis, Vitori and Mpofu? The only option is maybe Chigs, but a form Chigs adds runs as was the case in the epic 328 chase down, which as much as I like Meth he may not be equiped for...thereby upsetting the balance.
