[Match Thread] Pro50 & Logan Cup: Eagles v Rocks

Post by maehara »

Wonder if Rocks will respond to news of their impending demise with a defiant flourish or a complete loss of interest.
Both games at Harare Sports Club - Pro50 Saturday (5th), Logan Cup Sunday-Wednesday (6th-9th).

Hopefully they will use the opportunity to impress the other franchises in bids for contracts next season

Yeah some of them have just a couple of games to get a guernsey elsewhere.

Finally! someone decides to hit a big hundred in this season's List A competition. Raza with a telling 130 with 4 sixes, to go with some good 30s by Welch, Gumbie and Chakabva. A total that looks right after a long time.

Only the second century this season, after PJ Moor.

Alright, Roy Kaia is ripping the Eagles' "Saddam" Chifamba apart here (even as Cricinfo misplaces Timycen in his brother's shoes). May be he got a call from Obama's office...

That Roy Kaia who took to "Saddam" was in fact Innocent Kaia. And Timycen Maruma gets out at HSC and goes to replace Hamilton at Mutare straight away!

Raza chalking up his first ever List A century which is always nice to see, good that Gumbie is getting a go at the top of the order for the Rocks, hope to see him in the First Class match as well.

Jongwe doing another Elton impression, currently 41 not out with three sixes, and to complete the Elton esc performance he went at almost 8 an over with the ball but at least he took a couple of wickets :)

Well done Jongwe for first list A half century after a couple of matches
The boy is ticking all the right boxes for me and deserves a go in the national squad. I woudnt blood him against australia though I would however take him on the tour to bangladesh in december as he will have had a few more matches up to then
