24 hours out. Having trouble waiting for it to start. At least there shouldn't be a rain delay.

My heart says that Zimbabwe will compete with South Africa and hold their own. My mind says that South Africa will mop the floor with Zimbabwe. The mental strength or weakness of the batting is the key in my opinion.

I guess it depends on how we define 'compete', doesn't it? I think we may manage to avoid a total drubbing without actually managing to stretch our opposition.

I always like to tick off small boxes like "Do not get bowled out before lunch!" or "Take at least one wicket before lunch!"
Over the course of the match I would be satisfied, yet not thrilled, with this:
-- Score 250+ in the first innings
-- Bat for a day
-- Keep SA's run-rate below 4 in the first innings
-- Keep SA below 550
-- Bowl SA out
-- Do not capitulate in the second innings
This would at least take us deep into day four. But I am quietely confident we'll do better in one or the other department, and desperately hope we can make SA bat again and really work for the win.
"Let's make them grovel!"
Or to use another famous quote: I hope they'll "flippin' murder us".
