A good suggestion was posted in another topic about us having a Discord chatroom channel to use as a backup discussion venue if the forum crashes. One has now been created - please leave a post in this topic if you would like an invite link.

I think we should continue using the forum for as long as we can personally.
There are already whatsapp groups and discords out there for Zimbabwe cricket. What makes this forum unique is the easy ability to search and refer back to nearly 20 years of invaluable archives.

I agree. It could even be muted so as to not cannibalise the forum.
I still like the idea though, as it would serve as a handy backup for us (this group of people) to quickly share updates in case the forum crashes.

Who is the admin of that discord channel? Will there be plans to make more active users admins there as this has been a big issues here and i do not think people here a ready to join the same dictatorship just on a different platform?

Something simpler might be just talking to him - he is paying renewal fees so is somewhat still present, even if he doesn’t care.
