Nick Welch currently on 36 with a strike rate of 110. I can't wait for him to hopefully get into this LO side, somewhere.

Welch Snr should be in Harare right now preparing for the T20 series. Instead they've taken Myers, who has done fuck all this season.

Musekiwa and Maposa I just don't see adding any real value to the side.

Welch has shown he has a lot of versatility with his shots and truly believes in himself. That 90 he scored against the Irish was full of stares at Adair. He's got the grit to succeed alone.

I don't want to badger too much here because the selectors have a tendancy to be spiteful and not select the right players, just to prove a point. But Nick Welch is somebody who should be selected across all formats.

It'll be very interesting to see what the selectors do going forward in the ODI side.

I don't know if there is truly a quota or not but we have not had more than 4 white players in the side for some time now. With Curran, Bennett and Ervine all locked in, one would assume that Sean Williams walks back into the side when he's fit. Raza isn't going anywhere, so that means Campbell is likely to be dropped.

Munyonga is clearly being advocated going off Mawoyo almost creaming himself on comms when talking about him, then there's the generational talent in Myers and Wez is in form. Where does Welch even fit in? Burl too should be talked about. It's a great situation to be in but you just know that the selectors are going in a different direction. Selecting Musekiwa and Maposa is a shit move. It probably lends more clarity on Ryan Higgins being given the cold shoulder too. No space for another Rhodie hey Frank

Muchawaya was back in the Mountaineers team today. Only bowled 4 overs and went for plenty. Sad to see how he has really fallen of after he showed great promise during the UK tour and a great T10 showing. Just been down hill for him since then.

Nick Welch is such a good player and rightly so he can play all the formats. The selectors seem to be type casting him as a test player for now after that bad showing in Namibia. His List A average is 35 odd. I wonder if he will get a chance in the Canada games. Roy is surely a shoe in for those after his 91 score. I just dont get the idea of playing players in the A side who arent really pushing for national selection.

How does Nyauchi get MoM in the Mountaineers/rocks game when NW played a fantastic innings to get them over the line in the last over...again!
