But then again he has had games where he has batted at 3 which in this team would be where Dion or Nick may come in

Nice to see Chivanga back

Neither does Chiorah. The guy has a good eye and zero technique. Watch him. He won't last if the bowling is tight.
It's numbing watching some if these selections.
Makoni is a decent enuf cricketer, he just doesn't have the ceiling. He's done well in red ball this year, this is 50 over?

I hope Canada at least post a half decent total so we can watch our guys bat.

It's not a bad side though, probably a batsman light.
Myers, Welch, Chiorah, Makoni, Maruma, Naqvi.

Chivanga looks to have lost a yard of pace, put on a bit of weight as well.

It will be interesting. In theory they should open with Chiorah and Makoni, then there's Welch, Myers and Naqvi. You could put them in any order really.

It's hard to believe Chiorah and Makoni get selected ahead of Matt Welch. Probably time for him to get a job and forget this bullshit.

Makoni making this squad is a joke . 83 runs @16.60

This could explain why Matt hasn't been keeping because nothing else makes sense.

I'm sure you guys don't read this forum regularly.
Once again-
They sacked Mangongo from Mountaineers because essentially he had too many whites and had disregarded some local players and had forgotten it was a private club.
In addition they sacked PJ Moor, who was also helping sponsor some local guys.
They sacked Shadendorf.
They sacked Mike Frost.
They sacked Nick Welch as Captain.
They sacked Matt Welch as keeper.
Basically they were teaching Mangongo a lesson and these guys were collateral damage.
