Kundai Matigimu

Post by Conant »

Sorry folks, been away from this platform for a very long time. Been a hellish five years for me on a personal front...

Just seen a local scoreboard and one name struck a note out for me: Matigimu.

https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/log ... -scorecard

Does it ring a bell for those familiar with all names Zimcricket?

I remember a thrilling speed star in the Under 19 World Cup a few years ago with the surname Matigimu, is that the same player?

Same guy, yes. Spent the time between that WC and his reappearance a month or so ago in SA club cricket, I believe.

Played for Takashinga 1 in the NPL last season. Any chance we could have a PONI this far in the season.

Played 1 game, you're right.

Ceiling looks higher than the vast majority of seamers in the system, so I don't see why not. Give him one of the Durham games?

Thanks guys. I see there's a bit of excitement about him in the Franchise Round 9 thread, so guess my cricket memory is quite alright :D

For a Takazs boy you just about right. If he gets some runs in this round tht would make him a shoe in

If u want to see someone hit a long ball watch Gimu get hold of one as well. He also has an absolutely bullet arm.
