In 1948 Israel wasn't armed by the USA. The Jews got weapons through begging, borrowing, and stealing from Europe post-WWII. Most guns came from Czechoslovakia apparently.

The biggest supplier before the 1960s and 1970s was France. Which is why I mentioned that Western tech is superior to Soviet tech. Not just US tech. For example Rolex isn’t American but I mentioned it since it’s western.But getting billions in free stuff will always help.

There’s also the significance of being the only non-power to have a freebie spot on the UN Security Council when you consider that neither Brazil nor India have that privilege and they are absolutely massive countries with large economies.

They used Belgian and domestic licensed built FN FAL rifles from the 50s through to the 70s.

The same FN FAL rifles SOGO Rangers used against the AK47 equipped Takashinga Patriots back in the day :lol:
