Complete shit show from Bangladesh, this is where they allow their critics to get all over them.

Absolutely fine in losing and drawing the series 1-1 as long as you've put up a good fight in the 2nd test, but this performance has been abysmal so far.

On par with most other Asian nations though. In fact, even India haven't been competitive in NZ in recent times.

Its always going to be hard with Tamim, Mushy, Shakib all out.

Imran started as medium pacer, got injured then become quickest in that 80s era, where he had one of the Viscious indippers till he reduced his pace in 90s to prolong his career.

Imran was probably quickest from 1981-1983. In Australia in 81/82 there was a fast bowling contest & Imran came in at 139km/hr or 86 mph. So that's when he tried to be fast. But after he tore up India in 1982/83 with 40 wickets, he then had a shin splint problem. Only batted in tests in Australia in 83/84 & missed the entire 84/85 season. When he came back at 34, he was never as fast. But he was successful. He sure prolonged his career in the 90s. He retired after the 91/92 WC. Real deep into the 90s.
Sean Pollock was never as fast as Donald or Steyn. He may have had the occasional fast ball but was never all out fast.

Specially they missed Rohit & Rahul, who were chief architect in hammering Kiwis 5-0 in T20Is in their backyards. Bowling also suffered as Bumrah came out of injury in NZ, was completely out of Rhythm till he regain it in that famous Aus tour.

Tamim & Mushy may continue all format till 2024. Shakib's retirement from test cricket is just a matter of time.

Judging by this reasoning, I can say Australia lost the Border/Gavaskar trophy in 2018/19 because we didn't have Cameron Bancroft!
Rahul was out of form & created the unsettling at the top of the order. In 7 tests against West Indies home & away & against Australia in 2018/2019 he scored 195 runs & was dumped. Agarwal was given his spot & monstered South Africa & Bangladesh in India & was first choice opener for NZ.
Dhawan gave tests away & PP Shaw was the annointed rising star. Gill didn't even make the trip to NZ in 2019/20 after failing in ODIs the year before.
Rohit was a walking wicket in overseas tests & had a batting average of 26 overseas. As opposed to his over 70 average in India. His average overseas has only risen to over 30 after last years series in Australia & his tour to England, where he got his maiden overseas 100.
I'll concede Bumrah was injured but India's attack has so much depth (as proven in Australia in 2020/21). It was the batting that failed. One innings over 200 out of four.
India lost because they confronted a well drilled, disciplined unit who did their homework & exploited the weaknesses of a complacent India who were riding on the recent successes against Australia, South Africa & Bangladesh. There! That sounds so much better.

India also has a bad habbit of making new talent an overnight star. In this decade they started with Bresnan, then Moeen Ali,
Taskin & Fizz in odis, who flourished from no where followed by Sam Curran in 2018, Kyle Jamieson, Chris Green, Overton recently had great success and now its Marco Jansen enjoying the fun.

Bangladesh haven't taken test cricket seriously. They need to be hit hard now. Many of their super stars have shown their back towards test cricket as a result youths are not taking the format in a positive way
