reading this and observing whats going on i must say the u19 side is definitiley getting more game time than previous ones. a 2 year development programme is commendable. add the academy programme where they get 6 months in the uk and apparently another 6 months(im assuming this is when they will become the 5th franchise) when they are back.we are finally creating a map to the national team that was never there before
the most promising kid will see that if you join the 2 year u19 programme and do well at the world cup you can then get selected for the academy side which has effectively a 1 year programme. then from there you can crack the A side which does get a few games in a year.do well there and you are in business.
my biggest hope is that they start getting salaries when they become the 5th franchise. we all need financial motivation. the ZPL club scene also needs to be up and running to keep them busy in between. the new MD better find a way to fund it.
and who is this Dion Mazhawidza kid already bowling in the mid 130s? is this true?
