The blame must fall only and squarely on Cremer for that.

Raza's solid value. Probably under appreciated if anything... his average is up there with the likes of Ervine and Taylor. And he's very vocal and positive in the field, good leadership as you said Andybligzz.

Having played against Raza many times - he adds value as a leader, bowler, batsman and fielder. A guy you want in your team and will go to war with you. Any chat of dropping him baffles me.
