If I'm Chakabva, why would I throw away a potential average booster. May as well aim for a nice little 80* I think.
Cremer could probably have a crack though. The way Brathwaite is tossing it up is pretty inviting.

I guess Waller still has limited overs cricket.. Regis only has test cricket. He had to do this for him to save his livelihood. Great knock in the end. He needed that. Now he needs to work on his keeping. I thin
Mire and Ervine have actually averaged the same this series. I think he deserves another chance but not up the order. Maybe at 7 where Waller has been. I think he could be very dangerous against tiring bowlers.
It's a shame for Chisoro to be dropped because he didn't do much wrong. I guess he can be the second spinner for now in the squad. At least until a youngster is ready. I would be tempted to drop both Chamu and Waller from the squad completely and add Burl and another youngster.
I also think it's time for us to attack and declare..

A century is so powerful a statement, though. He could take 20 off one over of these lobsbrmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2017 1:32 pmIf I'm Chakabva, why would I throw away a potential average booster. May as well aim for a nice little 80* I think.

Nah, there's no point declaring. Zimbabwe can't win - they can't take 10 wickets in 18 overs.
There's more to be gained from Chakabva maybe having a shot at a century, for he and Cremer to get some batting practice.
I agree Mire deserves another shot up the order. After the first Test we all agreed - he's unconventional but it could work. We predicted that there would be times he'd look woeful, but there will also be times where he'll hit a swashbuckling half century and really get us going. I think he should get some more opportunities - let's see what happens.

I think he is trying, but not getting any timing for his heaves. So, better not attempt that since he isn't looking like connecting them well.
