Looks like we should temper our expectations for this World Cup

Our worst u19s ever. You know there’s a problem when Kieran Robinson is in your XI, the kid shouldn’t even be playing 1st XI schoolboy cricket. Little brat as well.

Shite, what’s going to happen against the big guns?
I saw Robinson face a bit of medium pace a while ago and he was not comfortable at all, against someone bowling 140 he’s not going to endure. There’s a few bits and pieces players in there that do a bit of everything moderately well. The most promising batsman (in my opinion) is Shardendorf Jr, and he’s a non traveling reserve and I really don’t understand his omission. He and Myers are the only ones (aged 15/16) that have a realistic chance of batting 1-4 with any degree of authority in the future. Already the window is closing on these two boys because they’re not getting the specialized stuff that the front 4 need, which is constructive ugly throwdowns by an expert. In theory they should be able to bat with some safety against Brent with a side arm and I think he’d kill them both inside of 6 deliveries. Also not sure why the older Shardendorf didn’t play in this game. He must be close to being over age, which has never really troubled ZC before. That’s a disappointing loss after much time and effort was spent on preparation. If they ever read this forum I give them fair warning that if they prepare well for the next WC ()we will have some good batting prospects.
I’ll pick them so they don’t get confused- Myers, Shardendorf, Bhawa, Welch Jr. This Bhawa boy is going to be a damned good player if he’s coached correctly, at 14 he’s got genuine pace and bats well and has a good cricketing brain.

Oh dear
The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!
