I hear andy blignaut's name being banded about a bit but do we know if he's gonna sign up for a province? be great if he does but lets see if he's match fit as well

Timmy Maruma (don't know how to fit him, but he deserves to be there)

That's 100% right. As he is a spinner, there is certainly no room for fitting him including there is already Price, Cremer and Utseya (who is fighting for his position) in the side. Instead of that Timycen Maruma has been the most consistent performer in the domestic arena both with ball and bat. He has taken loads of wickets and prooved that he can also bat up the order. The bottom line, there is no slot available but deserves a chance.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the batting of Craig Ervine and what kind of impact he can provide for the national side. He certainly has got excellent domestic stats.

I wonder whether Blignaut will ever return. Unfortunatly I doubt it. This forum has discussed the return of Marillier, Ferriera, Gripper, Blignaut and Ireland and nothing has materialised it seems that these older players have been the ones most effected by the 2005 strike. You'd imagine most would have found alternative employment and would be probably be feeding young familys so a return to cricket which let them down 4 years ago would be hard to justify. Players like Sibanda and Ebrahim have been tried at the highest level and struggled (it could be argued that some of the current top order are in the same boat). It wouldn't hurt to give Sibanda and Ebrahim another shot at it, but lets not hang our hats on them winning us games.

Chibhaba (forget using him as a bowler, he seems to have a steady technique at the top of the order)

I'd like to see Ryan Butterworth and Craig Ervine in the mix alongside keegan meth. Its inevatable that Sibanda will be picked for the next series, and rightly so. Meth should also be in the team, possibly at the expence of Matsikinyeri ??
But Butterworth and Ervine have both eimpressed me, and i feel they deserve a shot at international cricket.

I have left out Stuart Matsikinyeri because to me he has always struggled with consistency and Prosper Utseya, though he is economic he doesnt take wickets regularly. Im also hoping another miracle happens and we get another pace bowler in the mould of Jarvis then our pace bowling options would be solved.

1. V.Sibanda (I have seen this guy bat many times and when on song he is class awesome technique)
2. A. Manyumwa (he is taking wickets and our seam department is very dissapointing why not give him a chance?)
3. E.Rainsford (He along with jarvis would make the best opening bowling combo in the country, although still not international class but are any of them? )

What we are seriously lacking is a seam bowler who is threatening, fast and of international class.
Even the young jarvis dissapointed me, i was expecting him to be hitting 140kph and he wasnt close to this, dont get me wrong he has got an awful lot of talent but still needs to develop alot. there is no way the current crop of seamers will threaten the top international teams,

Valid point but Jarvis clocked upto 143.9km/h in the recent S.A.

Thats true Tawac its too early to criticise Jarvis He has just started his international career and has age on his side. He will improve with time. He has played 9 odis and taken 10 wickets so far. He economy rate is high but it will come down as he matures
