That wicket delivery was 132k.
Yeah looks like Larry put a bit more a bit of extra effort on the wicket ball, would love to see more of that

Sad when you see somebody constantly picked based on favouritism and nothing else. I never thought I would feel like this but I can only see one difference between PJ and Zhuwao. There is no fact or stat that you can bring that would show he deserves to play today over him. That's what I work with. Not opinion.

He played against the UAE 5 times in November and crossed 50 once. I guess the fact that he scored a very quick 50 up the order is the only reason why. Just like i could argue this is the kind of opponent Zhuwao can destroy. Battle of the water carriers I guess.

One thing for sure. Qualify or not, PJ scores a match winning knock or goes for a golden duck I will never support this management and selection team. This is a professional game where stats have meaning. Picking people based on your gut feeling when so much is at stake could cost a whole country.

There is absolutely no difference between these guys and the previous management team in terms of their selection policies. They both have/had a favourite group of players. Elton and Vusi and Prosper on one side. PJ and Waller and Mire on another side. Mire has gone 18 out of 36 knocks without a 50. Half of his bloody career.Another guy doesn't perform 2 out of 6 games and he gets dropped against a team you know he has a better chance of destroying. Dropped for a guy who averages 18 in 78 list A games. Wow

I remember the UAE batsmen were all at sea against anything over 135 kph in the 2015 WC.

PJ has shown grit and determination. Always a useful trait. Zhuwao has played some rank minnows and hasn't crossed 50 once. Great strike rate, but not smart cricket.

Grit or not, PJ can have a tendency to get bogged down with a lack of strike rotation. That isn't what we need.

I would have persisted with Zhuwao too for UAE because he plays with no fear. He hasn't done much though, so his non-selection isn't really a huge scandal.

This is a really bad start. Get Chatara off, get Muzarabani on. We need wickets.
