[MATCH THREAD] ZIM v UAE WCQ
Re: [MATCH THREAD] ZIM v UAE WCQ
UAE have the markers on us. This Shahzad dude is having the game of his life. We just don't have any replies to him. How wrong were we for dropping Zhuwao.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

He could just as easily miscued it. You want him to keep playing that shot. The problem is Chatara and Blessing are spraying it all over the place.

This is looking a bit dire. Unimpressed with Williams in his first spell, just serving up guileless darts

We are in deep trouble.
We need to find 2 overs from somewhere because Chatara and Williams aren't doing anything.
All this talk about it being a huge mistake dropping CZ: 0, 20, 18, 45, 0
It's not like we're dropping Bradman here... he's a mindless slogger and not a very good one at that. I'd have probably kept him in the team for this game, but he's not a huge loss.

This is not a low scoring kind of wicket. We need to hope they don't cross 250. We should be fine if we get our 20 overs to bat. But we need to start quickly

Looks like BT was giving everyone a telling off during the drinks break.

And interesting that Cremer is giving them overs and not KJ who is bowling tight. Wrong choice. He should be bowling in tandem right now with Jarvis to peg them back.
I don’t back our batters to chase anything over 250. Sorry but I don’t, even without seeing their bowling.

Not when he looks so comfortable and middling it. He is trying to play his shots and create space, which means you need to cramp him.
I am not so sure dropping Zhuwao can be judged yet because we haven't batted and he has not done his job as yet. Yes, it's probably the game you don't want to drop because of his role. The big disappointment so far is Larry. If you are brought in to the side, you need to perform, he has not.
We just don't look like taking a wicket with any ball. It seems like a flat batting track based on the way the UAE are playing.

Chatara's pace is an issue... 123/124-ish all day. Masakadza's effort ball is quicker than that.
We're already carrying one slow-medium in Jarvis... maybe Chatara is still injured?

Mid on and Mid off need to be tighter. It's too easy to take that single.
