You start following batters and spearing it in at the death, hard to do as a spinner. You want him to play shots. He’d get that shot right 50% of the time. One of the hardest in the book.
Definitely a hard shot. My point is if you can see him actively trying to play that shot, you need to do something about it to make it uncomfortable and to force him to think otherwise. Every ball in cricket has a purpose.
Was just about to call Blessing a crap fielder and then he does that.
You can’t help feeling that if Blessing was more athletic he’d bowl 150.
To shuffle in and let it go at 140 without appearing to be bending his back is quite something.
Nothing wrong with his athletisim, if that last catch is anything to by. And another tumbling catch I saw last week as well.
For that tall body hes a very decent fielder . Better than Morne Morkel, certainly.
